As a technologist, I have been involved with computer technology since the late 1970s. I have both seen the initial emergence of Personal Computers, and in fact help design their first generation. I have designed some of the first hand-held devices, as well as been a consumer of such devices for more than a generation.
We live in ever evolving times, where new device categories seem to appear with blazing speed. We also see devices blending together to create ever more convergent devices. Examples are everywhere. The combination of GPS, Cameras, Phones, Computers, Video Games, Text, and more into device that fit in our pockets is but one example.
My purpose with this blog, is to compile stories about these widgets, and provide commentary on where I see the industry and gadgets heading.
