AgaMatrix Blood Glucose Monitor With Native iPhone Support

Every manufacturer out there seems to be scrambling to add support for Apple’s iPhone, and now AgaMatrix, the maker of popular blood glucose monitors has plans to release a connectivity package to hook up its Jazz Meter with Apple’s iPhone.

If the FDA approves of the WaveSense Direct Connect Cable, it could become the first fully licensed medical device designed to work with the iPhone. Users who are interested are able to sign up at the product page for email updates on this. Features of this device would include tracking glucose results, carb/insulin input, color coded glucose score cards, a log book to review your results, trend charts, and even email to communicate with your health care team.
