Transcend StoreJet 25D3 Shockproof Portable Hard Drive

Transcend launched its its StoreJet 25D3 2.5-inch shockproof portable hard drive. The StoreJet 25D3 is one of the first USB 3.0 compatible peripherals introduced to the market. It offers a transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s which is up to 10X faster than Hi-Speed USB 2.0. The 25D3 is also backward compatible with USB 2.0, allowing users to access their files from nearly any computer.
The StoreJet 25D3 is available in in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB capacities and sports a seemingly delicate case with gloss piano finish. The Drives also incorporates internal suspension technology for protection from shock and damage from accidental slips or falls during travel. It is also an eco-friendly drive, it was designed to automatically go into power-saving sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity.
There is a LED indicator which appears orange when operating in USB 2.0 mode and turns to blue when in USB 3.0 mode.

So for why… flash drives are quicker than the hard drive so realistically if you are running enough RAM it’ s not supposed to be a dramatic change, it’ s more or less designed to replace the need for virtual memory from what I understand. If you want a…

I Beg to differ. Flash Drives, or Solid State Drives in general can be anything from Fast to horribly Slow. It depends on the write and read speeds. If you are reading it may be fast, and slow on writing. That’s why it is so important to consider your real use when deciding on an SSD for a laptop (for example). Tim McG.
