Denon 3D Blu-Ray Players
Sunday, May 16th, 2010
There are a few manufacturers such as Sony that have begun to develop 3D blu-ray players, but soon, this market will also get crowded. Denon has a pair of blu-ray players in the BDP-1611UD and the BDP-2011UDCI which will soon receive a firmware upgrade making them compatible with 3D discs.
The firmware update has been scheduled for this fall which will add 3D Blu-ray disc support to a universal player that is already compatible with the most common formats including standard Blu-ray, SACD playback, as well as video and audio DVDs and CDs.
The Denon players include 1GB of on board storage which can be expanded through the included USB data port. The units are also Internet ready and support video streaming through YouTube and Netflix.
The BDP-1611UD will be the first of the two players to be released this June at a price of $400. This will be followed by the BDP-2011UDCI two months later at $800.
